Fancy footwork

I'm already getting lazy with this blog thing, seeing that I never posted about my new hair color! Yes, well it's brown(er) now. My hair's actually a liiiiiittle lighter in person.. Also, I finally visited The Whitespace, a gallery nearby Inman Park, with my friend and fellow blogger Doremy. I took some lovely pictures of this adventure, including an outfit post-- a two-in-one operation. Enjoy!

Doremy wasn't too much of a fan of this piece, but I liked it

Like my new caaaar?

Fifties Fan

went thrifting again today at this place called "American Thrift." The place was HUGE and I had to contain myself.. I bought a thick, red grandma cardigan as well as a cream colored grandma shirt. I'm a little bit ridiculous so I just might wear the thick cardigan tomorrow (despite 80-90 degree weather... hmm). Anyway, here are some pictures of my outfit today + the crepes I made today.. yum

ATL

I'm headed out to Atlanta today in hopes of awesome new thrifted items from the awesome new Goodwill in Buckhead. I'm going the simple route today and pairing a barely pink lace top with high waisted jean shorts-- I'm not sure yet if I want to throw in the boat hat.

I'll be posting pictures later!

Straw hats

I'm currently unshowered right now and feeling pretty gross, yet I'm too lazy to do anything about it. Not good, since I'm supposed to go to work in an hour. I think I'm just going to put a straw boat hat on to cover up this nastiness.. Office appropriate? Probably not in other offices, but perfectly acceptable over at Land of a thousand hills coffee co.'s office. I think.

Speaking of, the straw boat hat is currently one of my favorite summer staples. Variations of the straw hat have recently been surging in and out of summer trends, last year being the straw fedora (ahem, Jason Mraz). I definitely own a straw fedora from last year-- a Target-brand, awkwardly large one (I bought this hat out of sheer desperation to be in on the trend).
Well now that I can retire the straw fedora I can break out a more tasteful straw boat hat-- Thank GOD. It's an adorable look that goes perfectly with a skirt/dress (I am obsessed with this girl btw. You can read her blog at http://blogg.veckorevyn.com/fyndigt). I'm wearing my hat with a chambray button down skirt from Levi's, an oversized tank top tucked in, a gray grandpa cardigan, gray polka dot socks, and woven flats.

I'm gonna have to stop here today because I have to be at work in 30 minutes!

Bonsoir!

I'm fairly new to this blogging thing; I seem to have caught on a little late. But anyway, from this point on I will be rambling about CLOTHES and other happenings. I still have a lot to learn about the art of style and this blog is a sort of window into my brain learning about and exploring fashion, so bear with me.
