Using a white backdrop, I put my hand in front of the lens before setting the timer off and it created this white washed out look. Even though I love how it washed out my shirt into the background, I don't love so much how it made my hair look so yellow!! I swear it's not this yellow in real life, haha.

sorry about the lack of posting (as always)-- my brother recently trekked back to San Diego, taking along with him his mac. No mac = no editing.. or so I thought. I am subscribed now to a 30 day trial with Adobe photoshop Cs5 so I will be able to edit pictures again and therefore post more often.
However- I got a
Tumblr! I'm not sure how I feel about it yet since I have no idea how to use it... but somehow I've managed to get two posts in already. Visit and follow me if you can! This Tumblr is random so there'll be a good variety of stuff on there haha

I'm starting to notice a trend here where I'm always posting about food alongside clothes. Hm. But here's some pictures summing up the past fews days (omitting my unsuccessful/totally-worth-it thrifting trip with
Doremy <- visit! it's worth it )

Wow, I am a HORRIBLE blogger, seeing that I haven't posted in weeks... I've been pretty busy lately with SAT school (ugh) and AP summer assignments and I couldn't squeeze in the time to update the blog. But here are a few recent pictures as proof that I haven't forgotten about my blog completely haha

I'm
finally posting for Mina because sadly for the past five days I have been camera-less up until a few hours ago. So the first thing I thought I should do since it's not like I have any outfit pictures I would snap a few pictures of things I have recently purchased.
So in order of my findings:
When I saw this it melted my nautical heart, because I seem to have an uncontrollable love for stripes(I'll post a picture of my collection, it's honestly out of control), navy blue, anchors, thick knit sweaters, double breasted peacoats blah, blah, blah. The ring is hard to pair with certain things and to me it's one of those things that can't be wasted on a mediocre outfit, but that's okay because the less I wear it the more it seems like a special occasion to when I do.
I picked this up recently at an antique market in Rome (Georgia, of course), it's hand carved bone Buddha faces. One thing I noticed when I looked at each of them is that each face is a little different from the other; but one in particular has more detail than the rest. In some ways I was kind of thrown off by that but then I grew to like that the most about the bracelet. One other thing about this bracelet is that I wear it almost every time I drive a further distance than I normally would. If I forget to put it on I have a really small Buddha statue in my car. It's not really a religious thing to me but it's almost like a small good luck charm to me, everyone can use a little luck, especially driving in Atlanta.
It's funny because recently Mina and I were at Value Village looking at shoes and I remember asking her what she thought would be her best thrifting find. At the time both of us were really unsure of what ours were. Two days after I found these beauties. I have been on the hunt for these Justin roper boots FOREVER. I thought about (more like dreamt since I couldn't afford them) somehow buying the Urban Outfitters We Who See boots, but uh, unfortunately I don't have 78 dollars to drop on shoes. I searched ebay, etsy, various thrift stores and the original Justin boots (that the We Who See were obviously based off of) were ranging from anywhere around 35-100 dollars! Sheesh, second hand? C'mon. But finally, thrifting in Canton brought me upon them, the first time I looked through shoes I didn't see them and the second time I was just kind of browsing waiting for a dressing room and there they were. And they're in seriously the best condition. All for the price of 7 dollars, take that Urban Outfitters, Clothing Wearhouse, and various sellers online! Thank you whoever donated these and saved me amounts of money I don't even have. The best things come when you aren't looking. (We Who See boots)
That's all for tonight, sorry for the scatterbrained/rambling post but it's 3: 30 in the morning and I've definitely got sleep and some reading on my mind (American Psycho has been occupying me through these nights before bed).

Salut! I will be leaving for Syracuse, New York on July 4th for a college visit and my friend Cara will be guest posting during the time I'll be gone. She's thinking about creating a blog herself and through guest posting it'll be a way of testing the waters.
Enjoy! I'll post pictures of my trip when I come back!
