Foooood

Hello blog... I'm back! However, this is not an outfit post. This is a cooking post. I was flipping through some Food and Wine magazines when I found this delicious looking recipe card and decided that I HAD to make it. It's strawberry season (although they aren't very sweet lately- maybe it's the weird weather?) so I couldn't think of anything better to make.

This is probably the most successful baking experience I've had to date. Makes me wonder why I ever took such a long break from baking and cooking.

The inspiration (isn't it convenient that my nails happen to match the strawberries perfectly?)

Step 1: Make shortbread

Step 2: Make lemon curd filling

ok, this is completely unrelated... but I made this margherita pizza for dinner

Step 3: Assemble strawberry shortcake

Et voila!

To a new year-

Happy new year! Supposedly it's a time to make resolutions and the like, but I really don't want to make any empty promises to myself (haha).

But here are a few goals for the new year:
-blog more
-stop hoarding clothes
-stop being so materialistic

I will try my hardest at points 1 and 3, but I cannot guarantee I will adhere to point 2! It's a gross habit, I know, and a pricey one.

I almost want to set up a blogshop to sell some of my clothes, which includes several vintage pieces. The only problem is that I don't blog enough therefore I don't have many followers so I'm going to have to work on blogging more before setting up a shop, hehe

only time will tell.

Fall stuff

Janglin - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

Using a white backdrop, I put my hand in front of the lens before setting the timer off and it created this white washed out look. Even though I love how it washed out my shirt into the background, I don't love so much how it made my hair look so yellow!! I swear it's not this yellow in real life, haha.

No white AFTER Labor Day

This might be the longest I've gone without posting yet. Again, I apologize. After school started about 2 weeks ago I've been mega busy with college applications and with school in general. BUT. It's labor day weekend so I'm taking full advantage of it by taking outfit pictures. Enjoy!

Tumblr time

sorry about the lack of posting (as always)-- my brother recently trekked back to San Diego, taking along with him his mac. No mac = no editing.. or so I thought. I am subscribed now to a 30 day trial with Adobe photoshop Cs5 so I will be able to edit pictures again and therefore post more often.

However- I got a Tumblr! I'm not sure how I feel about it yet since I have no idea how to use it... but somehow I've managed to get two posts in already. Visit and follow me if you can! This Tumblr is random so there'll be a good variety of stuff on there haha
